What is Google Chrome Extension?
Is an app store for browsers. These apps, once installed, will always be on the user's Google Chrome browser, maximizing the user experience on Google Chrome.
eTelecom has an application on this store which is eTelecom product - customer service center.
Overall, the way to install the extension is quite simple, you just need to access the eTelecom application on the chrome store then install and pin the extension to Chrome.
On the store page, click the “Add to Chrome” button
A dialog box will ask “Do you want to add eTelecom - Customer Service Center to Chrome?”
Click the “Add Extension” button to allow the browser to install the extension.
Click on the puzzle piece icon on the right side of the chrome address bar
Click on the pin icon. This action will make the eTelecom icon always appear on the browser for easy access.
After installation is complete please restart your browser and start using it.
The login account must be a registered account on cs.etelecom.vn
The account has been assigned an extension for calling.
You are on any website
Note: Some websites, eTelecom will not work. See the list at “ Websites that cannot use eTelecom ”
Click on the eTelecom application that has just been installed and log in to your eTelecom account
In case your account joins many companies with different roles. Before using, you need to check whether the company you are accessing is correct with your wishes.
Click on the gear icon as shown and press "Visit" on the shop you want to use.
Chrome extension has 5 major functions:
Call : screen keypad and call.
History : Here is the call history
Contacts : Displays the account's contacts.
Interested : Displays a list of users interested in OA
Establish:
Do not disturb: do not ring when there is an incoming call
Click to call: allows you to make a direct call by simply clicking a call button displayed on the web.
Enter the phone number you want to call, either a phone number or an extension number, and press “Enter” or click the “Call” button to call. Refer to the steps described in the image below.
Allows you to review the call history of the extension you are logged in to. In the “ Actions” section , the system will allow you to listen to the recording file of that call.
Contacts includes 2 tabs:
General: Contains general company contacts
Internal: Contains internal company extensions, internal calls will not be charged for voice calls
This item only appears when you have successfully “Link Zalo Official Account” on cs.etelecom.vn.
Click on the icon as shown to select the hotline to call or send a request for permission to call.
To send a request you need to Select OA, enter the "Phone number" the customer wants to send to and "Select the reason for sending"
-> Click the submit button.
After successfully submitting, you can track the status of this request in the ZCC section on the cs.etelecom.vn admin page .
When this feature is enabled, all incoming calls will not ring on your account.
On the browser, click on the icon containing the eTelecom logo -> access the settings section -> click on the icon as shown to enable the "Do not disturb" feature
Note: Each time you turn on/off the feature, you need to F5 the browser to update the latest status.
The "Click to Call" feature allows you to instantly initiate a call with the phone button icon via the web interface instead of having to manually enter a phone number.
On the browser, click on the icon containing the eTelecom logo -> access the settings section -> click on the icon as shown to enable the feature in the "Status" section as shown
Note: Each time you turn on/off the feature, you need to F5 the browser to update the latest status.
After enabling this feature, the chrome extension will automatically recognize the phone number to display an icon with a call button as shown. You just need to click on the icon to make a call to that phone number.
"Display Mode" here you can configure the pages where you want the Click to call button to appear. There will be the following options:
All: All pages display the Click to call button
Show only on certain pages: you can limit the pages you want to show by clicking the "View details" button -> enter the page address you want to show.
Exclude on some pages: you can exclude pages that you don't want to display by clicking the "View details" button -> enter the page address that you don't want to display.
Websites without SSL cannot use eTelecom, specifically about SSL and how to recognize SSL and troubleshoot will be described in detail below.
Is a certificate of trustworthiness. If a website does not meet this requirement, Google Chrome will limit most of the user's functionality on the website.
The site does not have SSL, is marked “!” and Google says “Your Connection to this site is not secure”.
The website has SSL, shows a lock icon and Google says “Connection is secure”.
The google start page is not a website - it has no web address at all, so users cannot connect and log in to eTelecom here.
Google restricts the extensions that are allowed to work inside its products, extensions cannot work properly on these websites (Google drive, Google Sheets, Google Docs, …).
